Merry & Bright

I am a bit behind as you could tell from my "Being Thankful" post that was a bit behind. But anyways Mack is now a little over 4 months old weighing 17.6lbs and 24'' long. As Dr. Draehn said... we have a BIG boy on our hands.... Healthy, Happy, yet BiG boy! He is truly growing soooo fast. He has such a wonderful personality and loves to smile and laugh. He is becoming a very active little fellow too. He rolls from back to belly && from belly to back.... we have to keep a VERY close eye on him at all times because he is so ready to be on the move!

We are so excited to celebrate Jesus' birthday w/ Mack this year! We could not be more excited for his(Mack's) first CHRISTmas. Of course we know that he doesn't totally get everything yet, but he soon will! It was such a join to have Hanna Moelhmann to take our CHRISTmas pictures this year, Mack was all about the camera.... till it was time for Family pic lol.... after an hour he was over it. But he was a trooper and did so good so we didn't complain. It is amazing though because this time last year Matt & I had a BIG secret... which was that we were expecting our lil bundle of join and now a year later he is here and is the BEST gift any of us could ask for!!!

Being Thankful

This year we have SO much to be thankful for.... Our health, our home, our jobs, our family, our friends, each other, and MOST of all MACK!!!! He is truly a blessed from God & we couldn't be more THANKFUL for him. He is growing like a weed and being more & more his own lil person.

Happy Halloween

It's a little late but........ Our little Mack was as you can see a ZEBRA! He wore it sooo well. We didn't go trick or treating like we should have but it was a little warm so we just went over to his Grandpa & Grandma Ehlerts & saw a few trick or treaters their & hung out their for the evening and had dinner. Mack LOVES spending time with his grandpa & grandma.

Growing BOY!

Well, time is just ticking away.... I took Mack to his doctors appointment last week and BOY OH BOY has our lil guy is growing!!! He weighed 14lbs 1oz and is 23 3/4" long! 90 percentile in weight & 75 percentile in length. Dr. Draehn said that we have one healthy boy on our hands. We couldn't be more blessed! He also said that we could start our lil guy on a SPOON!!! (Already???? he's only 11wks!) Our little guy is also sleeping anywhere for 6 1/2 hours to 9 1/2 hours of sleep at night!!!! He has been doing that for a little over 2 weeks now!!! GO MACK!!!!
Mack is becoming so alert & smiling all the time. He scoots all over his crib, from one end to the other! It truly amazes us how strong he is.
Last Sunday we took him to church for his very first time & he did so good.We went out to eat afterwards as a reward... lol.... I had to get a picture of him in his little polo outfit.I am hoping to get hime baptized soon... but of course his daddy wants to wait till after deer season..... We will see..... HA HA!!

Mack & I at his "Sip & See"

Tick..Tick... the time is Flying.....

Where does the time go? I has already been 2 months since our little guy was born, & can remember it like it was yesterday when we found out I was expecting! I truly couldn't be more blessed or ask for anything... God has made me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

Its been 2months now our little guys is getting stronger & stronger... I have been amazed since day one how strong he was/is ; lifting his head and kicking those legs.... But now, well..... he is holding up that head longer and longer, scooting all around is crib/ bassinet.... he can do a complete circle in his crib. I was floored one day when I walked in there and he was totally turned around. He is becoming more and more alert to his surroundings & acknowledging all of our voices.... He loves staring at the fan and the the tv from time to time but over all just loves looking around and making sure that he doesn't miss anything.

Recently my mom & mother in law hosted a "Sip & See" for Mack at my mother in law, Becky's house. I could of been more excited for that day to come so that I could show off our lil guy...  & of course BOTH the grandmas were excited to show him off too. John (Matt's dad) ending up showing up there towards then end & was so proud to show him off as well, he is such a proud grandpa.
(I will post pictures of the Sip & See soon)

I am so lucky that Mack gets to come to work w/ me EVERYDAY! Not only is it nice to get back to work because I am a busy bee and have to keep busy BUT to have my lil man here with me is so awesome. I am so thankful to my parents for allowing me to bring and for totally remodeling the back office for Mack to have all his stuff set up here for him as if it is "day care." My mom is setting up a room in our rent house next door to the office so that she and Mack can hang out there so it is a little less noisy for the little guy.... because like I said above he doesn't want to miss a thing and when he hears something he wake right back up...
I am so amazed how my dad is adabting to being a grandpa, he is totally loving it, & seeing his grandson everyday puts a smile on his & my face. My dad has only  been around little girls so have a lil boy around is so exciting for him. He loves is lil "Buddy" as he calls Mack.

Well, that is all for now, I will post more pictures soon.
XOXOXO

Crazy LITTLE thing called LOVE

Where do I even begin??? Matt & I were blessed on August 4th @ 8:57p.m. with our wonderful little man, Mack Howard Ehlert. He was 7lbs 2oz and 20 1/2 inches long. It was the most amazing day of our lives, it was amazing how you can LOVE something so LITTLE so MUCH!
For those who don't let me tell you the store on how our little man made his debet..... Matt & I got up on that Thursday morning as if it was any regular morning, it was my 38 week appointment and like all appointments Matt meets me at the doctors office. Well, Matt left for work to get his day started & I realized something was DIFFERENT I called my mom to asked her if she wouldn't mind riding along with me in case something happened along the way. Well, before my mom got there I noticed I was "leaking" and so naturally I called Matt and told him....and naturally he didn't believe me at first and told me I wasn't "leaking" but that I "peed" on myself.... I of course laughed and to Matt you just wait and see..... About half way to College Station..... MY WATER BREAKS! (This all happens as I am driving!!!) I couldn't help myself but to just laugh!!!! My mom asked if I wanted her to drive the rest of the way, but I told her I was fine that I need to be in control (naturally).
When we finally got to the doctors office, and met Matt; I asked him to please come over to my car to see my SEAT, because I wanted to prove to him that it was not pee, but MY WATER BROKE... and It was time!!!! We got to the ER at 11 and my labor didn't really start till about 1. I must admit it truly wasn't bad, more exciting then anything.

Every day is a new milestone it seems, he has been lifting up his head from day one. At about 3 weeks he started skooting from one end of his bassinet/crib to the other. At 5 weeks he began to smile some, which is the most rewarding thing ever! It's so wonderful to be able to work for myself/parents and have him there with me. When I am in the salon he stays next door at the office with his Grammi (my mom). And I know that the both are truly enjoying their time together.

Well, that is all for now. I'll be back soon :)
God Bless us all!
